Everyone should have access to clean running water, toilets and the other necessities that people often take for granted around the world. It's sad to think that some people struggle with these things and it's even harder to put yourself in their shoes and feel what they feel. This is something that we feel very strongly about and as people, we'd like to make a difference in the world that we live in, that's why we've partnered with Toilet Twinning to create a better world for those who need it!

What is Toilet Twinning?

To put it simply, The Toilet Twinning team gives families living in poverty the basic necessities that we don't even think about. Toilet Twinning is an organisation giving those families a set of toilets and changing their lives forever.

Without the proper equipment and clean water families in poverty are trapped in a cycle that puts them in danger.

  • They'll become sick from poor sanitation
  • If they're sick, people can't work and will lose out on earnings
  • Children might miss schooling and struggle
  • Parents have to pay for medications for their illnesses and their children's illnesses
  • And there are threats of wildlife if they go to the toilet out in the open.

So what are we doing about it?

In short, we've become a part of the Toilet Twinning movement!

We've donated to the Toilet Twinning programme and twinned the toilets on one of our projects for the Knowle C of E Primary School with a latrine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This doesn't impact the school in any way, but it has meant that we've been able to offer resources to an underprivileged village of families and help them along their journey to clean water and sanitary conditions for them to live in.

This isn't some PR stunt or something to give us a good name, it's just a good deed which has meant that we're able help those in need. But more importantly, it's something that you can do too. All you need to do is head over to the Toilet Twinning Website and find out how you can twin your toilet and donate today.
