What the school wanted

Gunthorpe C of E Primary school had a clear vision in mind, to revamp their male and female toilet cubicles and make a space for all to enjoy. The project leaders got in contact with us after getting inspired by our past school projects and loved how we made dull areas come alive again.

Through using the school’s original space (which had lots of room to work with), both teams had plenty of scope in terms of designing and producing a vibrant, playful place that resembles the children of this school. The design squad created a variety of plans where the final aesthetic was chosen, covering aspects such as colour schemes, metal work, flooring and equipment preferences. What we achieved

Both the school and our team of experts have a passion for helping those around them, meaning the practicality and style of the washroom was needing to be appropriate for younger users. A school washroom does a lot more than it says on the tin. This room is not only a toilet area but is also a place for friendly chatter or breathing space.

From replacing the existing pipework and installation to our signature final touches, this project was full of enjoyment. Like our past projects, we decided on a theme of bold, stimulating tones with a mix of unisex colours. This school washroom was truly a reflection of the school’s values and fit into the surroundings perfectly.

We created a youthful space with the inclusion of cubicles, urinals and vanity units, finished off with traditional silver hardware and darker panels. We also install all our school projects with easy wipe surfaces all around as they’re practical, reliable and easily maintained. The toilets also came with modern facilities to make everything super easy to use. This equipment included easy lock systems, push taps, IPS units and spacious wash basins.

Vanity Units for School Washrooms

Vanity units are a huge aspects of any refurbishment project. Creating a look that fit into the overall aesthetic, these vanity units needed to be easy to use, offering plenty of space for all the children going in and out of the washroom.

With the success of our splash mirrors in recent school projects, we knew this feature would be a hit for this school too! Our signature mirrors are not only practical, but they also offer a unique touch which makes it clear this is a child friendly space. The wash basin also came with automated push taps, meaning the water will stop running after a certain time. This not only means the school is saving water, but the children also know when they’re clean and ready to go!
